Primary responsibility
The primary responsibility of this role is to independently meet and exceed assigned sales targets for cloud services. Towards this, the person shall be expected to undertake some or all of the following tasks:-
• Generate leads and build up lead funnel for future sales
• Update knowledge of cloud service offerings in the industry and those offered by the company and thereby speak confidently and correctly about the same with potential clients
• Develop good rapport with existing clients to get more business and references from them
• Research business processes of target client accounts to discover potential for use of AIT’s cloud services
• Understand client requirements to develop cost effective and profitable proposals in conjunction with AIT’s Cloud solutions team
• Influence clients not inclined towards cloud with rationale for this service and induce trials
• ‘Win the Sale’ – convince, negotiate and close deals on their own
• Keep track of customer satisfaction levels and service level agreement compliance to step-in in case of any issues, thereby ensuring repeat business is not hampered
• Keep track of payment cycles from clients to ensure that they pay on time and AIT’s profitability or debtor days are not affected adversely
Secondary responsibilities
Over a period of time, this person would be expected to deliver on the following:-
• Help in the recruitment and grooming of junior sales people for Cloud Business Services
• Collaborate with internal functional teams to ideate collaborative Cloud based products or solution.
• Represent AIT at industry events and academic interfaces, when called upon by AIT for the purpose
